You are invited to take the new PHCARE-COVID Survey and share your medical care experience during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Most Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) centers have been overloaded with extra work due to an increase in demand for care for COVID patients, which has made assuring regular care of PH patients significantly more difficult than usual. This has perhaps made it difficult for you to get in contact with your PH treating team/physicians, to obtain PH specific medications and to come for outpatient visits and exams. So far, specialists also do not know whether PH patients are more affected by coronavirus/COVID than the general population. The PH community’s participation in this survey could provide rapid and structured feedback concerning the cardiovascular and pulmonary consequences of coronavirus/COVID infection.

Aims of the survey:

  • To understand how you may have been affected by the pandemic
  • To understand how to better organize health care for PH patients in the next few months
  • To understand how to improve health care in case of another dramatic and rapidly spreading event precluding optimal care of patients with chronic diseases

Please click here to participate in this short survey. It is available so far in 16 languages, with more translations in progress, and is open to anyone from any country in the world who is living with PH, as well their family members and caregivers. The survey should take no more than ten minutes to complete and closes on 28 June 2020.

The survey is a common initiative of PHA Europe, ERN-Lung, ERS Assembly 13 on Pulmonary Vascular Diseases, ERS Clinical Research Collaboration PHAROS, and ESC WG on Pulmonary Circulation & Right Ventricular Function. All of the information you share with us is completely confidential, it is used to create a collective analysis and your personal information will not be share with anyone.

Thanks in advance for your participation – the more people who respond and share their experiences, the more powerful our voice will be!
