- Joint Transnational call (JTC) 2020
Topic: Pre-clinical research to develop effect therapies for rare diseases. Clinical trials are not eligible but maybe there will be another call related to this in the coming years. It will be preferable if the applicants consult their technology transfer officers before submitting their applications.

- Clinical Trials methodology demonstration projects – internal call for proposals (WP20)
This is a call for “demonstrator projects” aimed at validating novel statistical methodologies for clinical trials in small populations. Here, data from already completed projects of ERN researchers will be re-analyzed using alternative methodologies. Projects will be selected in a two-stage procedure.

- ERN Research Education and Training Programme (WP17)
- ERN Research Workshops – Up to ten two-day workshops per year on cutting edge research topics will be funded. The workshops will be organized by the proposing ERN center and fully funded by EJP-RD. Calls for workshop topic proposals will be sent to the ERN members every 6 months. Junior researchers can apply to attend and, if accepted, will receive full coverage of their travel and accommodation expenses.
- ERN Research Exchange Fellowships – There will be 6-monthly calls for junior ERN researchers to visit another ERN research group for short-term research exchange fellowships (up to 3 months). The aim of these grants is to disseminate skills and expertise in advanced research technologies and to foster collaborations between ERN centers (both within and between ERNs).

- International course: Training on strategies to foster solutions of undiagnosed rare disease cases
The course, free of charge, is made up of 3 days of residential training organized by Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) and will provide participants (30 max) with useful examples for the resolution of undiagnosed cases. Find more information about the course here.
